Avoiding gyms as intimidating places I spent most of my post uni years doing little exercise other the odd walk and bike ride. I hit the big 40 and I decided I needed to something about it. I’d been following Charlotte’s instagram for a year and finally decided to give her a call!

 

I've been training with Charlotte now twice a week for three years even through the various lockdowns. She listens to what you want to get out of your sessions and sets a programme to achieve those goals. As a result I feel strong and confident and my progress whilst slow and steady is most importantly sustainable. Like all exercise it's often difficult to squeeze into busy family/work life but Charlotte listens to me, pushes me my good days and has patience on my off days. I can’t recommend her enough.

I have trained with Charlotte for a number of years now. She always gets the best out of me and pushes me to challenge myself. As I have got older and hit perimenopause her knowledge and support have been an integral part of my fitness journey.

 

Charlotte knows exactly when to push me and when I need to pull back. She has helped me to understand my own body as it changes, manage my training as life throws me curveballs and becomes more hectic not to mention enabling me to feel more confident in my training as I age. I've been working with Charlotte for around 18 months now and I love it. Our 1-2-1 sessions in a morning have given me a lot more confidence in myself and Charlotte's kindness and knowledge are helping me navigate my way to a healthier life. The C3 classes in the evenings are always fun, with such a supportive group around us, whether you're the next olympic athlete or have never seen a weight before in your life! I have trained with Charlotte in her woman’s group classes, since April 2018 and, for the past three years, Charlotte trains me in a one-to-one session each week. Prior to beginning my fitness journey with Charlotte for 8 years my only exercise was distance running (pounding the streets), my knees began to suffer and my running days were over.  Wanting to continue with exercise for no other reason than to prevent weight gain and to keep toned I began my fitness journey with Charlotte. I’d never really lifted weights before and was basically starting from scratch.

​

I had always felt intimidated by group work outs, however I have found the woman’s group sessions to be inclusive and supportive, with Charlotte providing knowledge and motivation to achieve my goals. I have also found training with a good coach and within a group of like minded people provides you with accountability. Each work out session runs for 6 weeks, allowing you to understand the exercise and build on your strength. Following the six week training programme Charlotte creates new 6 week work out regime which can include building on exercises from previous programmes and introducing new methods and splits. Throughout the last six years my body has changed and I feel so much better for it and stronger.  I can see the results and it motivates me to carry on and not stop.

​

Looking back over the years of training with Charlotte one of the biggest lessons learned is that exercise isn’t a trend, it’s a lifestyle and consistency is key to seeing and feeling amazing results. Charlotte is a superb trainer. She’s extremely knowledgeable and explains every move so that I know what I’m doing and why I’m doing it which is super helpful. Charlotte is non-judgemental, encouraging and motivating – I actually look forward to training sessions.

I have been under the warm and supportive guidance of Charlotte for 4 months now, during which she has encouraged me to believe in the abilities and strength of my own body.

Charlotte has been instrumental in helping me to build and foster good exercise habits and gently nudged me in the right direction with regard to nutrition and personal well-being.

​

As a novice to weight training, I was initially apprehensive about any form of weight lifting, but with her gentle and persuasive support, I now feel  more confident and  enjoy the new challenge.

​

I have a personalised plan that I can follow at home as well as a regular 1:1 session, which has helped relieve some of those annoying menopausal symptoms  and built up my fitness levels. 
 
I can not recommend Charlotte more highly if you like to work hard, see results, and also have fun and a few laughs along the way.

Charlotte creates a fun and supportive environment in the gym. She is always on hand to correct my technique or encourage me to go heavier or do just a few more reps. She is full of ideas for new training programmes which she tailors to what I want and need.  I feel physically and mentally stronger and even look forward to the early morning starts! I am also very happy that I’ve never had to do a burpee yet!
